SJUFC Mission Statement
SJUFC will foster a safe, positive, professional player centered approach for our student athletes that focuses’ on development of individual player and person as a whole.SJUFC provides a unique environment that is both physically and mentally challenging, stimulating players to reach their potential.SJUFC strives to attain a national reputation as one of the premier girl’s youth soccer clubs in the country.
SJUFC Philosophy
While we emphasize the importance of winning soccer games, from a coaching stand point, long term player development is at the main focus of the club.SJUFC members will be regarded as individuals first within a large group environment, placed in programs that specifically meet their requirements and ability levels.SJUFC will develop confident mature players who produce an attacking style of possession soccer, integrated with solid individual technical skill and creativity, with a relentless appetite for hard work.An aggressive desire for victory combined with the procedural and graduated development of soccer skills through exceptional coaching and advanced techniques, is of paramount importance.Nevertheless, realization by all that soccer remains only a game is an inherent aspect of the philosophy of SFUFC that must always be recognized.
SJUFC Core Values
SJUFC promotes the development of communication, good sportsmanship and teamwork necessary for the academic achievement and good citizenship.Through detailed programs and professional technical staff, SJUFC aims to instill three core values (the A,B,C's of soccer) into all of it members;
1.Attitude; maintain a positive attitude without the “fear of failure”.
2.Belief; belief in their ability encourages players to “reach higher”.
3.Commitment; great learning requires the active engagement of the learner.The quality and development of a player is in direct proportion to her commitment to her goals.
